秋の大規模ツアー『No Place Like Home』に先駆け、ロックバンド、Badflowerが痛烈な新曲「Teacher Has A Gun」を発表しました。アメリカ特有の恐怖、その概念をテクノロジーと絡めたこのエネルギッシュなモダンロック・バップが感じられるミュージックビデオは必見だ。
フロントマンのJosh Katzはこの曲の意味について次のように語っている。「誰もが自分を狙っていて、誰もが暴力的で、文字通りであれ比喩的であれ、誰もが銃を持っていると感じることは、特にアメリカでは、多くの人々にとって現実的な感情だ。この曲は、僕らにとって理にかなった方法で、そして僕らがアートを作る方法で紡いだんだ。私たちのバンドの結束力は、私たちの正直さ、つまり無愛想さにあると思う。それがそこにある限り、私にとって私たちは仕事を果たしたことになると思っているよ」とコメントしている。

Ahead of their upcoming massive No Place Like Home fall tour, Badflower launched a scathing new track, “Teacher Has A Gun.” Touching on a uniquely American fear and intertwining the notion with technology, the band highlights paranoia in this energetic modern rock bop and accompanying music video.
Frontman Josh Katz expands upon the meaning of the song sharing, “Feeling like everyone’s out to get you and that everyone’s violent and that everybody has a gun, literally or figuratively, is a real feeling for a lot of people—especially in America. We spun that in a way that made sense for us and in the way we make art, and we hope people like it.”
Katz continues, “I think the cohesiveness of our band is in our honesty—the unapologetic nature of it, and as long as that’s there, then to me, we’ve done our jobs.”
